The sea looked like liquid quicksilver. Soft, gleaming, fluid, everywhere. Everything was still, as if it was waiting for us. That’s a perfect day for kayaking. And even better, my favourite animal – the seal, showed up and was curious. At most we had around 10 seals around the boats. I could hear them breathe. I love them. And I love the sea.
A new daily and happy feature the last month have been the daily yoga challenges. On instagram there’s a great yogi community and every month there’s a challenge from a crew called #instaomcrew of trying new poses. And doing yoga every day, even if it’s just for 10 minutes. This month with the hashtag #yogansters. . It’s fun and playful to see what’s possible to do with one’s body!
I love the northern archipelago outside of gothenburg. Of all places I’ve been in the world, this is my favourite place. I love the contrasts of rocks and sea, the colours, the smells, the people, the relaxed atmosphere and all the activities you can do in nature, both above, on and below the surface.
I’m sure no one living on the westcoast missed the heavy rain and thunderstorm on friday. I was up early morning to listen to my body and what training to do first. Instead I listened to thunder and watched dark clouds coming in over the islands. I love weather. I love when nature reminds us that we are small.
So I went jogging. My waterproof camera securely stowed in the back pocket of my tights. I didn’t get far. In a few minutes the dark clouds turned into flashes of lightening, thunder that made the ground shake and rain so heavy that it was painful on my bare skin. I loved it.
